This Monday the Philippine president Benigno Aquino has signed a law to give compensation to victims of the country's former president Ferdinand Marcos.The government also announced that there will be at least 10 billion pesos ($224m: £148m) to compensate thousands of people who suffered rights abuses in the Marcos era.
