General Election in Italy

 General Election in Italy

Voting was underway in Italy‘s general election this Sunday . I would like to let you know about the Italian political as well as electoral system . Italy is a republic country with a President as the head of state and bicameral parliaments. The lower house or Assembly has 630 elected member, and The upper house (Senate) has 315 elected members plus, currently, four appointed life senator. The electoral system is based on proportional representation and party lists, For the candidates, there are four leaders of political parties that seem to be very Famous ( Mr.Pier Luigi Bersani (  Ex-communist), Mr. Silvio Berlusconi , Mr.Mario Monti and the last one Mr.Beppe Grillo (comedian and the country's most popular blogger). However many voters want Mr.Berlusconi back to work as a Prime minister. If the new candidate that come from others parties is elected ,there will be a problem  meanwhile this country is facing the financial as well as economic crisis.

Mr .Beppe Grillo has been known  as the leader of five stars movement

( Ideology : Populism , Environmentalism, Degrowth,  Anti-corruption, E-democracy, Euroscepticism)
